Welcome to vapordubs.com

As you can see, we've cleaned house and made a few changes to the Volkswagen/Audi Partnership of Rockford site. They are for the good, we promise.

Although our old site was a solid start to something special, vapordubs.com better fits the scheme of the club. It sounds better, it's easier to promote, and easier to convey to the public. The forums, our most popular attraction, are still here.

We've added over a thousand photos to our gallery from every event VAPOR has attended in the past few years.

We've also added several events to our calendar and they can be seen and commented on here.

As most of you bookmark the forums, we urge you to check back to the home page frequently as new content will be updated regularly with event results, member bios, and photos.

If you have any questions or concerns on the club's new site, contact the management here.

Wisconsin MKIV with big turbo turns over 270 hp to win crown

MACHESNEY PARK - Matt Larson headed south to the Land of Lincoln Sunday and took the vapordubs 2009 horsepower crown, boosting over 270 hp in his big-turboed MKIV GLI.

Mike Davis Sr. of Janesville, Wis. took the lowest hp crown with a whopping 66 ponies in his MKI Scirocco.

Other winners where Becky (2nd place highest HP) and her G60 Corrado and Dave Fransen (3rd place highest HP) in his modded MKV Bunny.

The VR6 wars didn't live up to the hype. Both contenders who threatened to put down 300 plus horsepower ran into difficulties before the event.

In the show portion, Winnebago's Mike (sorry, don't know his last name) took home the Best of Show honors in his MKI Cabby (pictured above).

Mike Davis Jr. of Janesville, Wis. took home the Eurotech's Favorite award and $50 cash and a t-shirt.

Vinni Pastore won the First Annual Vinni Pastore Lowest Car award in his Audi A4.

Thanks to everyone for coming out. We had around 35 cars and close to 60 people attend the event.

A special thanks goes out to Greg and the Eurotech crew for hosting yet another successful dyno day. Also, we'd like to thank Erich from Dent Magic for making all those cars look dent free.
